Head Shake

Part 4: Tics
Head Shake
A rush of itchy blood
Pulses at the apex of my neck.
It's hard to resist,
The unending fight.
I vibrate my skull,
Ambitious for relief
That never comes,
And I shake again.
I feel sorry for my parents.
They are forced to watch their son,
As he violently shakes his helpless head.
Do they think he's possessed?
To this day, I still shake my head.
Sometimes I catch the heartbreaking stare.
No one wishes to be different.
But there is nothing that can be done.
In the end, there is only an urge.
